You just spent the last 5 hours cranking out a blog post, 3 Instagram posts, and 2 reels. The day before that you spent 3 hours creating an amazing new YouTube video and you are feeling burnout. The thought of trying to think of brand new content to push out on Pinterest just sounds flat out exhausting at this point.
I’m here to tell you that you do NOT have to recreate the wheel when it comes to Pinterest, rather, Pinterest is an avenue to get all of your content seen by the 460+ million users that are on Pinterest.
In this short post, I want to dive into ways you can repurpose content you are already creating on other Platforms.
Can I use my Instagram posts on Pinterest?
The short answer…Yes! While I prefer you link all of your pins back to real estate you own (your website), it is absolutely okay to create pins that link back to your Instagram.
As an entrepreneur and content creator, I know you have spent hours and hours creating high quality IG posts. Pinterest is a great way to get more eyes on this content.
The best way to do this is to create an optimized pin with keyword rich title and description and then grab the URL link for the IG post you want to direct traffic to. If you want to learn more about keywords, head over to my post Pinterest Keywords for Beginners: What Are They and How to Find Them.
One thing I want to point out…you have to remember IG is top of funnel so when you create pins that only lead back to your IG, you are basically taking a user from one top of funnel to another top of funnel. Again, it is okay to link to IG but don’t create your strategy solely around this.
If you don’t have a website YET, you can rely on IG for now but in time, the goal is to get users to your website.

Can I use my YouTube videos and podcast episodes?
Absolutely! Leading Pinterest users to both your YouTube videos and podcast episodes is a wonderful approach to a holistic Pinterest marketing strategy. This is one of my favorite ways to repurpose content.
You are taking a cold audience over to the pieces of content where they can really get to know, like, and trusty you.
Create optimized pins with keyword rich titles and descriptions that link back directly to your videos and/or episodes.
How can I repurpose my reels or IG stories?
Pinterest stories are on FIRE right now! If you’re not using them, you’re missing out! If you want to learn more about Pinterest stories and the other types of pins you should be creating head over to my post 3 Types of Pins You Should Be Creating on Pinterest to learn more.
Pinterest stories are very similar to IG stories. They are a series of slides where you take a customer through a journey of either teaching them something or providing them with some form of entertainment.
Instead of creating brand new content for Pinterest, simply take your IG reels or stories and add them to Pinterest. You can use the native editor to add in words or music.
You can also repurpose your Tik Toks but be sure to remove the watermark first.
