The Top 2 Secrets for Growing Your Account on Pinterest

You’ve created a Pinterest business account, started pinning a few pins but now what? You’re not seeing the traffic you expected and you’re starting to get discouraged.

I’ve got something to share with you today…

The Top 2 Secrets for Growing Your Account on Pinterest

There is a lot that goes into an effective Pinterest strategy but two of the most important are consistency and keywords.

Secret #1: Consistency

Consistency on Pinterest means creating a strategic plan that aligns with the amount of content you are creating each month and sticking to that month over month.

If you are creating 3 blogs a week, you will most likely be able to push out upwards of 45-60 fresh pins a month; whereas, if you’re only creating a new blog a week, you are more likely to push out around 30 pins a month.

If you push out 30 pins this month that means you need to do the same moving forward. Trying to do 30 pins one month, 45 another, and 10 another just isn’t going to fly on Pinterest.

Look over the amount of content you are pushing out each month and decide what is sustainable.

Pinterest not only loves consistency but they also love fresh. Whatever number you land on, you need to primarily be linking back to new content. Gone are the days of repinning the same thing over and over again.

You will want to drip that content out across the entire month so if your goal is 30 fresh pins a month, you can drip one fresh pin a day.

How Can I Stay Consistent?

Scheduling

Scheduling your pins is one of the best ways to guarantee you are staying consistent on the platform.

Tailwind is my favorite scheduling tool as it allows you to schedule your content weekly or even a month ahead. If you love to batch your content, this tool is for you. You can sign up here. This isn’t an affiliate link, I just like them that much.

You can also schedule your pins directly on Pinterest. They only allow you to schedule 2 weeks out so keep that in mind as you are designing your workflow.

Hire a Pinterest Manager

If you know you just don’t have the time to feed the algorithm Pinterest beast then you have an option to hire a Pinterest strategist like myself.

A Pinterest manager can create your pin images, pin titles, and pin descriptions along with scheduling out your content.

Take a complete hands off approach and allow your Pinterest manager to maintain the consistency for you.

The secret to growing on Pinterest: consistency and keywords
